Fragrance Elixir is a Nigerian perfume house making eau de parfum for people who take how they show up seriously. Bold where it should be bold. Quiet where quiet is stronger.
The Beginning
Built to survive Abuja heat, not Paris autumn
In 2023, our founder Ikedi Mmesoma was buying imported perfume that collapsed within three hours of Abuja humidity. Formulas built for European autumn simply did not survive the climate — or the occasion. So she began blending her own in a rented room in Lugbe, working from oils sourced through a distiller in North part of Nigeria.
"Fragrance Elixir " was a deliberate, meaningful choice. The word " elixir " carries centuries of weight, representing something powerful, precious, and life-giving, all contained in a small bottle. For the founder, this perfectly mirrors what fragrance is: an intimate, transformative experience. The brand was born from a desire to prove that premium, high-quality scents can originate from Nigeria, challenging the assumption that luxury fragrance must be imported.
What Makes Them Different

- Most high-street eau de parfum sits at 12%. Ours is closer to extrait, which is why one spray goes further and lasts longer in heat.
- Direct sourcing
- Frankincense and myrrh from Borno resin harvesters, oud from named distilleries, florals from Grasse. We pay above market and we name our suppliers on request.
- Six-week maceration
- Every batch rests before bottling so the notes marry instead of competing. It slows us down. It is worth it.
- Refillable by design
- Our 100ml bottles are built to be refilled. Return three empties to us and your fourth refill is free.
Sustainability
Refill, don't replace
Glass bottles, aluminium caps, no cellophane, no plastic inserts. Cartons are printed locally on recycled board. It is not a campaign — it is how the house was set up.
